Welcome to the Batchelder Family Child Care in Oceanside, California. We provide a safe, nurturing home environment where children are encouraged to learn through discovery and play. Our goal is to support your child’s unique social, emotional, and physical development in a warm, family-focused setting. From creative arts and music to early literacy and outdoor exploration, our daily activities are designed to spark curiosity and build independence. Rooms
Infant Care
Ages 6 months – 2 years
A nurturing and safe environment where infants receive individualized attention, gentle care, and age‑appropriate activities that support early development, bonding, and exploration.
Toddler Care
Ages 2–4 years
Our toddler program encourages curiosity, independence, and social growth through hands-on learning, structured play, and engaging activities designed for active young learners.
Pre-K & Preschool Care
Ages 4–5 years
Children build confidence and school-readiness through a balanced curriculum focused on early literacy, math, creativity, problem-solving, and social-emotional development in a fun and supportive setting.
After-School Care
Ages 5+
A safe and welcoming space where school-age children can relax, complete homework, participate in enriching activities, and enjoy supervised recreation after the school day ends.
Our Approach
At Batchelder Family Child Care, children learn and grow in a warm, home-like setting with small group sizes and consistent, loving care. We blend play-based learning with gentle structure, focusing on social-emotional skills, early academics, and independence at each child’s own pace.
